acquired my highly anticipated burner today at the pc show '04. tough jostling with lots of guys milling around, mostly at the canon/panasonic booths with lots of hot babes flaunting the latest gizmos.

benq dw822a dvdrw 8x (r) plus a stack of 10 free 4.7 gb 8x recordable dvd+r. heaps of technical jargon there, but basically a damn good bargain at 189 bucks. hmm, all the f.r.i.e.n.d.s seasons i'm gonna download... burn baby burn!

went with bro and joyce which turned out surprisingly amicably well. which is more than what i could ask for, really, since kent ain't a friendly chap. more like the bochap-act-cool sort. phew. next was changi airport's popeye chicken. yum... crave satisfied. next time, alex! haa

hopped on the mert to orchard for the harry potter ride. brilliant. bumped into my crescent senior working on the bus. used to have a big crush on her. senior counsellor, netballer. took photos for us! nice. shan't spoil the surprise but SAM is damn cute eh. cool gimmick. definitely catching the show now. alright alright, yes i changed my mind. *grins. will post the pics soon, promise.

chilled at hmv then shopped at heeren a lil but bought nothing. joyce got this entire set of naruto figurines (again) at a cheap retail price of $8.95. i know... she's crazy. still, a pretty good deal i think.

ate a calorie-laden late dinner consisting of ham & cheese crepe and soft shell crab. sigh. and afterwards yakked earnestly abt how we are gonna exercise and all.

received a letter from tjc saying our certificates are ready for collection. bah. pretty weird seeing the self-addressed envelope in my own handwriting. thought at first it was an invitation to join the alumni. again. NO.
