i feel like i finally got a life again.

i'm a happy happy happy girl today

it started off with a fantastic lunch with chin at munchiesmonkey
not plugging it cos it's xanthus' baby
but food anywhere else in nus tastes like crap now (yesh even arts)
munchies offers great fresh seafood at ridiculous prices
but of course, the chef hails from spagheddies (joint venture with nussu)
relaxed comfy atmosphere
regretted not bringing my camera... all that nice food presentation!

our feast:
+ spaghetti with crayfish $6.95
+ escargot on mushrooms $6.95
+ hawaiian pizza $5.95
+ warm brownie with hot fudge and icecream $3.50

my spaghetti was great - yummy wholesome chunky authentic tomato base with damn fresh crayfish. definitely filling despite the lonesome crayfish mercilessly spliced into halves being rather minuscule. ate snails for the bloody first time today and they're bloody good! like chewy chicken/clam meat. seasoned with garlic and herbs, it was shiok and i was amazed hiding under that big brown shell was just a tiny black hideous slime of a slug. good for some dissection if you science ppl are interested. i profess my obsessive fondness for fungi but the shrooms turned out to be a wee bit of an overdose. nearly gagged and left one uneaten though only 5 was served to us when there's meant to be 6. chin's hawaiian pizza was good, like normal. yesh and siewhoong, the brownie beat grinninggecko's hands down!

then i went off by my own to bugis... SHOPPING!

indeed shopping revitalise the soul. i forgot how therapeutic it was to sigh over expensive pretty things that you can touch and long to own. got so excited all those on my i-want list!

+ has damn nice miniskirts lah. very ex too... had a hard time convincing myself to step out of the store.
+ check out their green floral wedgies. just wanted to try but this woman quickly snapped up the last size 7 upon hearing my request. sheesh, it's 59 bucks lady... i can't and won't catfight with ya over it.

+ nice brown circular bag with the trademark triple stripes in red for only $59... an absolute steal! it caught my attention when i saw it on a girl in lecture. alas i just can't pull it off. the thick shoulder strap looks ridiculous on me. damn.
+ nice bright orange beach vballs at 29 bucks only!
+ i'm in love with this. this $59 brown/pink holey top you definitely need to wear a tube underneath that just screams funky! i can't describe it, words fail me...

then i hopped over to bugis village for my first french pedicure spurred on an impulse! galvanised me to stop biting my nails and do french manicure next time.

i owe it to myself... for the hard work i've put in and also as an incentive to continue to slog harder in the coming days. hmmm cos i foresee a lot of assignments coming my way.

soon i'll be buried under piles of work and readings again.
