wasted.
i was asked to be one of the hooked sub-editors last night.
yeah not many people know about this, but the "jane" you see (if you bother to, you're in the minority man) in some hooked articles are works of yours truly. joined them just a sem ago so i was really surprised and honoured to find out abt the selection.
ok hooked's not like the new york times or anything, but lately i've been thinking maybe i'm not cut out for reporting, journalism, newsy stuff cos i write real slow and hence, terrible with deadlines. i was telling myself i'd be more than happy to get a high paying job, even if it's not writing-related at all.
so the hooked callup was a good ego boost :) but arggh here comes the anticlimax: i can't accept it. while i was entertaining the thought of saying yes as shaun was explaining the editorial duties, we both realised i can't be the sub-ed since i'd be graduating next sem just like the main comm! sian. that was like haaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
was joking with goof maybe i could put "potential sub-ed for hooked which did not materialise" in my resume. cos it's like, i realise my resume looks so empty. that's so worrisome when the reality of looking for a job next year hits you. sigh. the perils of being an arts graduate.
that was a real bummer last night.
aside from that, i finished all the assignments for this week :)) submitted everything on time too. yesh i believe i'm turning into a model student. heh. slept only 2 hours last night so i'm pretty groggy now. at as7 waiting for goof to end school so i can hug him like crazy and not let go. :)
