spreeee... not

last week, i went chinatown with goof and his family.

we were exploring the second floor of people park's centre lined with shops featuring suitably auntie-ish apparel, fabrics and household items. it's a place xian and i used to frequent for elastic bands, ribbons and chunky gold clasps to make our own belts (which of course i never did wear mine).

there i was, mindlessly strolling along when i chanced upon a display of a white dress. once featured on myspringfling, it was an item which i was feverishly enamoured with and had fretted upon buying it or not for almost one week (they had backorders). it was also said to be "exclusive", made in japan and cost $47 with postage. luckily for me, i chose not to get it in the end.

i believe i had shuddered at the sight of it. being. displayed. in. an. 'auntie'. shop.

i'm getting weaned off online shopping now - no doubt this incident has played a huge part in it.
