10 ways to be an ungracious host
1. no planning and budgeting of foodstuff, thereby amounting to $199.
2. which includes unnecessary items like disposable cutlery, cups and plates (as if this is some freaking bbq at east coast park, not a proper sitdown meal at a person's house) that were hardly used.
3. fool your guests into believing you can cook.
4. and then serving them the most terrible carbonara of their lives and smelly cheese fondue with expensive, overcooked asparagus and baby carrots.
5. overcharging each guest $22 for that lousy meal and excess stuff bought that were left at the host's place.
6. when complaints are raised, pretend not to hear them.
7. barking commands and ordering your guests to wash dishes, sweep and mop the floor in Post-Dinner Operation Cleanup.
8. chasing them away at 11 pm with no prior notice using the parents as an excuse.
9. not informing your guests of lrt timings, making them miss the last train, stranded at the bus terminal and having to stay over at another friend's place for the night.
10. generally being utterly wasteful and environmentally-unfriendly.
having said all that, it must be mentioned that while the carbonara and cheese fondue were clearly not meant for human consumption, the chocolate fondue with fruits and supermarket-bought bbq chicken were acceptable and polished off in no time.
3 ways to be a dumbass guest:
1. keeping silent while the scam of a dinner continues to unfold before your very eyes.
2. obediently following every instruction issued by the Ungracious Host.
3. complaining about every single detail in your blog only after the tragedy has occurred.
names are left unmentioned to maintain anonymity and perhaps, friendship.
yep that sums up my chu san.
