miss you, love me
it's been one heck of a busy week. but i shoulder an utmost responsibility to my blog which i will valiantly attempt to bear now.
the feminism group presentation is over (phew). i did ok -- better than i expected, considering the fabulous stefan practically blew the class away and my nerve-wrecking panic attacks all day -- since i was motivated enough to conscientiously jot pointers down and simply rattled them off while managing to incite a few chuckles. :) not bad. one shakespeare presentation this week and that's it - no more trembling voice, hasty shuffling of notes and clammy legs behind the teacher's desk.
my toshiba a200 gave me a minor scare ard 4 am on the eve of the presentation. the spacebar totally freaked me out when it alternated between spacing away like mad and "freezing". so ihadtotypelikethisonmsnandit'snotfunny. and the scrollbar just kept scrolling down for some weird reason. headed to the obscure toshiba repair centre in sch over at sci where the sweet nerdy guy tried his best to reassure a hysterical arts girl/computer idiot it's no virus and replaced the faulty keyboard with a new one. which, w/o warranty, would cost ard 200+ bucks! gulps. so i'm pretty chuffed to get it free. *fingers spacebar gingerly*
at least one good thing came out of the darned psychoanalysis module. we had to watch alfred hitchcock's vertigo for this week's topic of "melancholia and madness" and it's freaking fantastic for a 1958 flick. kudos to hitchcock, i'm going to try catching all his movies during the hols. kim novak's old hollywood glamour is simply charming nostalgia nicely complemented by the suave kim stewart.
this week is going to be another one of those chock full with hours of readings and doing preparatory work for project meetings and the presentation. the REAL pain in the arse is not seeing goof for nearly the entire week and that sucks the mostest. like antm's bre hilariously deadpans, "and of course, life just have to get better..." (when she was down with flu, had to go first with only 50 frames to spare and no clue whatsoever as to how she looked and how the other girls had posed). we are both terribly busy; him in mech eng naturally explains it all and me being such a slowpoke snail at work. still trying to settle into the let-see-each-other-weekly routine which makes the weekends bloody precious now but it's so damn tough to resist running over to his place anytime from mon-fri to just talk nonsense, laugh and be adored.
note on antm: bre is so funny and strong mentally; i kinda like her now. screw nicole. don't you agree with me her pigeon squeal was far more irritating than the disease-carrying feathered creatures. nik is stunning which is surprising for a girl with such gargantuan features squashed on a small face but she only has one look - sultry. my favourite jayla is out! nonetheless, it's true she is so dead in front of the camera. pity really, a gorgeous gorgeous girl.
here's another tag by cutie jo. it's like the online version of an autograph book and a great way to mask a content-deficient post too. heh.
