something's wrong

happy 23 to me
for some reason i'm feeling pensive and nonchalant
must be a sign of age.

and this year the birthday has arrived all too soon.
i'm liking this newfound independence.
not having to rely on anyone but myself
not expecting nightly calls or morning smses
no obligations or restrictions
just minding my own business
we'll see how it goes.

god 23 is quite the wakeup call.
that's damn old lah.
i don't like this number.

24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30...

boo. it just gets worse.
so maybe i should appreciate the now huh
at least still on the younger side of 20s.

i should start taking better care of my skin, my boobs, my butt.
before the pull of gravity gets the better of them.
i should start saving up.
i probably should start venturing into the scary world of makeup.
i wonder when i'd get too old for facebook (probably soon), forever21 (hello warehouse) and frivolity

where's that sophistication and poise that come with age?
i still feel like a gawky teen at heart.
complete with baby fat, insecurities and nerd specs.

boo.

i don't appreciate getting pissed when it's just 4 bloody days to my birthday.

my kind of humour

staying home on a saturday night

there is a mountain list of work to be done
and yet all i really wanna do is shop.

actually i quite enjoy this semester's workload
so it's not that bothersome a chore
it just takes a lot of time
cos i think and write at the breakneck speed of a snail

we went to pick up trash today!
at some secluded rubbish-infested woodlands beach
with my ism gang
really glad i went
cos it was a fun yet sombre eye-opener
the beach was practically a mini landfill
i found a bra! as well as a soggy sanitary pad

the guys were tickled by (presumably) used condoms they found.
countless panties, balls, helmets, shoes, toys, handbags
it does make you wonder how they land up there in the first place
and frankly i'm glad we helped to remove bits of it this morning
knowing that a part of it will go towards making someone realise
the damage we're inflicting on our planet.

i'm missing that boy like crazy.
goof = lots of tlc and hugs and cuddles and snuggles
yes ling, and slightly retarded babytalk.

alright, enough of musing
back to work.
