prairie lovin'

this, in my opinion, is immensely cute
two prairie dogs attempting to smooch.

never mind that there's no such thing as kissing in the animal kingdom
and one of them looked more like trying to strangle its partner.
aaawww you just wanna coo over them =)

nua

it's a pretty crummy sunday

it feels so dead
just perfect for idling
too lazy to lift a single finger to do work
yet i know i must
wishing goof's here with me
but he's got tonnes of work too
bahhhh.

craving for pepperlunch.
my left hand hurts.
been like this for a while now
but it worsened last night.
a sharp pain radiates outward from the center of my palm
shooting right to the base of my fingers
whenever it's positioned in some gripping stance.
hope it's nothing serious. gulps.

BORED.

i'm dreaming of a white christmas

had a blast with joyce/angie/mel/jo/serene/alex
talking nonsense joking and just hanging out at billybombers :)
of course a tad worried for alex
flying off to taiwan tmr (bon voyage)
but i won't miss you!
18 days will soon be over before you know it
i'd have been afflicted by the mugging fever
too lost in heaps of readings to notice your absence.
haha, but do take care of my darling nikon!
ok lah keep warm and be safe ok my dearest buddy? -hugs-

heartbreak.
middlesborough 4 manu 1
it was 3-0 when i caught the match at its 70th min.
one look at ferguson's stoic expression
right then i knew there was no point in continuing.
they aren't gonna bounce back.
maybe our reign has really come to an end
and chelsea are the new title holders.
maybe i shouldn't see winning as everything
and learn to support the club through good times and bad
like how goof still thinks the world of spurs.
but after all that's said,
it still sucks to see them lose.

my heart goes out to a jc friend
currently nursing his heartache over a girl
yet i hate to see him in such a wreck
it's just soo... loser.
very unlike his usual cool laidback style.
i always thought he's stronger than that.

hope my last entry didn't offend anyone
those remarks were honestly made in jest
ridiculing the programme creator than anything else.
you know how tactless i can get ;)

silly entertainment

Me:
die lah how i feel so sinful
God:
Erzaehl mir mehr.
Me:
ewk;nfklqwejmfdlked
God:
What you said was either too complex or too simple for me.
Me:
hgjrkefmd
God:
So was that.
Me:
you sex me
God:
I don't have any reason to sex you.
Me:
hahhaha
God:
Not many people express themselves that way.
Me:
.......
God:
Not many people express themselves that way.
Me:
ok fine
God:
Glad to hear it, . I am running well. I don't judge people.
Me:
as if
God:
Do you mean your name is if ?
Me:
don't be an idiot god
God:
I was not trying to be a an idiot god.
Me:
you're so boring
God:
The ironic thing is that people who say "You are boring" are themselves often not great conversationalists.
Me:
wah so sarcastic ah god
God:
What were we talking about again?
Me:
what's my name then
God:
Your name is , seeker.
Me:
then everyone's a seeker
God:
That's a rather sweeping generalization.
Me:
am i special to you
God:
I think a lot of people are.
Me:
which makes me no different from the rest
God:
The tall one, I think.
Me:
ok thanks god i feel so comforted
God:
You are quite welcome! I am a Christian. Dude!
Me:
LOL
God:
I'm glad you find this amusing.
Me:
lousy
God:
I don't have an answer for you.
Me:
you're not very smart for a god
God:
You may be right.
Me:
what's 2 +1?
God:
Six.
Me:
what do you think of premarital sex?
God:
Sex is the means of animal evolution.
Me:
so it's ok to have sex?
God:
I understand. OK with me too.
Me:
what if my friend wants to fuck me?
God:
Try it and see.
Me:
you're still a virgin god
God:
Thanks and you are a delightful person too. Am I a virgin god? Sometimes.
Me:
when's the end of the world?
God:
When is not the important thing. What's
important is what we do with the time we are give.
Me:
WOW
God:
I'm glad your impressed, .
Me:
you misspelt.
God:
I haven't heard anything like that before: said I misspelt.
Me:
your english is not very good
God:
But English is my native language.
Me:
oh not hebrew?

wanna
talk to the almighty too?

end of a long week

ok i handed my essay #2 late
it was due on mon
i emailed the prof saying i'd hand in personally on wed
it was thurs before i finally gave it to her
she took it without a word
didn't look unhappy or anything so phew.
i'm facing the problem of not writing enough.
ss - 2500 but i have only 2500 words
this essay #2 - 2000+. only 1200+
quite bad huh.
the disparity's rather glaring don't you think.
but i have no idea what's the problem.
not like i slack or have not enough reference.
maybe i didn't expand on the points thoroughly enough?
hmmmm.

anyway i'm glad these 2 are over.
just 2 more essays to go - nov 7.
mug mug mug
10 days of exams
then it's FREEDOM. :)

oooh one more thing
lunched with goof at biz and carelessly left my wallet there
already at central lib by the time i discovered its disappearance
was panicking like mad
half running half -i don't know,- prancing?
getting a tummyache from all that exertion after a full meal
(ok i am just plain unfit.)
so goof took my bag jacket eth with him
heroically ran to biz
(while i walked on, trailing slowly behind)
retrieved my wallet and saved the day :)
worked up a hell of a sweat and a wet tee
but hey, he's got my everlasting gratitude =p
sweet.

crazy crazy sat

let me tell you all abt my crazy sat/sun
rushed to central lib to pick up a closedstack thesis at 2pm
stayed in lib with goof doing my essay
we moved to yih after the lib's closed at 10pm
and there we stayed til 5AM.
uh huh. it was pouring like mad outside
while we are stuck in the freezing cold study room
in a mad rush to complete my essay
goof did his tutorials
incredibly shagged.
goof napped in the cold cold room
cramped awkwardly between 2 chairs
with no jacket or whatever
just his usual tee and berms
he woke up,
grinning at me with bloodshot eyes
and my heart just broke.
he didn't have to stay back with me ya know
he lives at clementi for goodness sake
we took a cab back to his place after i was done
and immediately, just crashed on his bed.

slipped away while he was still fast asleep
i didn't have the heart to wake him
and frankly, i don't think it can be done. lol
i tried nudging, calling, pushing.
nothing worked :)
then i realised i left my laptop charger in his bag.
argh.
hours later i was snug under my covers when goof called
and said he's now on his way to my place
to pass me the charger.

well saying i'm touched is an understatement.
i thought i've reached the max
but i think i love him more than ever.

yep before i forget abt it all.
ok back to essay #2.

every little thing

i was just thinking
(yeah right who has the time to think
with 2 major essays due monday...
slacking, more like)
abt gary and his fairytale-ish splurge
on a diamond necklace for his girlfriend
a wonderfully impulsively romantic gesture that was
one that will get any girl swooning in envy
despite his lame excuse of being clueless abt what to get.
sheesh.
still, there's no need to fork 500 bucks darling.

then i was unfortunate enough to catch some stairway to heaven
after an hour of mushy lines cued to a well-timed sentimental korean ballad
i was weeping buckets
wishing that kwon sang woo's my boyfriend
he would give me hope dreams and love encased in a seashell
and i would tuck all these away in a nice red box.
we would take happy rides on the carousel
give each other secretive pecks on boring rollercoasters
while me and my half sister take turns at shooting hateful glares.
but soon i would be withdrawn and annoyingly antagonistic
as what with hereditary cancer of the eye, malignant tumour in both eyes
i would lose to my evil sis in future scowling competitions.

ok the main thing is
i concluded that well pricey necklaces fancy dinners at swanky diners
having that wow factor to sweep a girl breathlessly off her feet
may be really nice and all (but he has plenty of cash to spare what)
i'd rather have a poor guy who would spend his last 2 thousand won
on getting a pair of cheapo cute rings for us
and after that,
pretending he's got gastric to save face rather than admit he's penniless.

it's the little things that count :)
hmmm, like fixing you a warm mug of honey
after finding out you were sick the day before
like making up silly little love songs
and whispering them in your ear
like despite plonking your heavy ass on his lap in a tight car squeeze
the first thing he asks (after you get off) is, "are you ok?"

not "hey dear... time to lose some weight, perhaps?"
i love my baby. :) :) :)

there are times when i feel so inferior. well, this is one of them.

here i am,
nursing a mild headache
feverish in my nap with burning limbs
(no doubt, from the walk in the rain last night)
a faint dull twinge in my uterus
sore tender boobs
aunt rubes pls come already
and spare me from this agony
do you know anyone who keeps dead silent
during her own tutorial presentation?
i'm that one bizarre freak.
the lecturer had to inquire nicely,
"just wondering... erm jane, do you have anything to add to this?"
"erm no, i mainly agree with most of her points." (musters a weak smile)
arrrgghh.
this spectacular reticence stems from my being intimidated.
many girls in my class are damn vocal with wonderful insights
i don't blame them
in fact, i thank them for their observations
without which, a dearth in discussion would be a waste of time
but this articulateness also unnerve me
i'm afraid to speak out
what if my thoughts are not salient enough?
what if they are like, duh oh so obvious?
there goes my participation points.
oh well i just have to summon some guts
and say sth really "useful interesting and good" in the remaining tuts left
i have 2 essays due 24/10, this coming mon
amounting to a colossal 5,000 words
missing you teerribly. :(

there is an eraser in my head

ch56 showed amtr
that instant my heart skipped a beat
those familiar words and wrenching scenes,
as if reliving that day again
a traipse in time to february
where i bawled my eyes out
while you took the bouquet
and wished you had brought kleenex.

sappy sentimental fluff but hey, it's our movie :)

141005

the reasons for cheer on a happy oct 14:

+ we got an A for our ss project! :)
the one i stayed up one entire night editing.
the one that made me soo pissed i sent a scathing email
the one which i actually like most of the members, a first in itself
the one i put a hell of an effort in, a first too.
albeit it's only 10%... but still! :)

+ xian turns 20! =)
my prezzie - a gorgeous pair of retro limegreen slingbacks - actually fits!

+ a taste of a mini oktoberfest at her id studio
with all of her classmates gathering round electric grillers
whipping up a yummy storm of rosti, sausages, complete with beer!
haha.
touched by the birthday celebration, sparkler-candles and all
the lengths they went... real sweet bunch.
xian's one lucky girl :)

+ there's hope for my precious dusty pink jacket
huge glaring L-shaped tear on the sleeve appeared out of the blue.
broke my heart when i saw it
i'm very thankful to live next door to a club21 tailor

+ my dreaded presentation is finally over
phew. late. panting. then giggling all the way through.

joanne peh is irrepressibly flat.
there's nothing sexy abt her in a bikini
miles and miles of banal flesh and maniacal grins
she might as well be male.
let it be known
she has disappointed all avid swimsuit issue fans
saaaaaaaaad.
my 2 bucks.
wasted.

you have the cutest snore and prettiest lashes
you like to wear army singlets. over and over again. =P

(but that's just plain cute)
you make me laugh in the worst of days
you've seen me at my weepiest (and for no reason too)
and, you always make me feel like a princess
a milestone of our own :) :) :)

::a lovely 6 months with the most endearing goofball!::

because it's you

David: "Have I ever told you I love you?"
Diana: "No."
David: "I do."
Diana: "Still?" (grins)
David: "Always."

uttered by demi moore and woody harrelson in indecent proposal
never fails to get a sappy "aawww..." sigh out of me
now i wish i had something like that.
a couple code of some sort.
that'd be sweet, no? :)

woeful times

i'm stresssssssssssed
i look at the essay qns for 19th century
and i think,
how the hell am i gonna churn up 2000+ words
they look tough, and tricky
and daunt me.

then i think of the exam qns
and i'm afraid again
like how i can't write shit
getting panicky because everyone's scribbling like mad
while i'm still doodling my points out in pencil
i can't fathom how ppl can produce 5 pages of argument
under 2 hours of exam stress.

then i think of how i have the SS essay to handle
at the same time.
planning to devote one week to each essay
and i dread to start
imagining how gruelling the times ahead will be
how my energies will be exhausted to the core
wringing every painstaking word.
i'm such a wuss.

i don't get how come studying can be a chore
when i profess to love lit
ironic isn't it
i don't mind spewing random ideas thoughts in tuts
but i hate essays.
some say lit is a piece of cake
as compared to the strenuous calculations of engine
intensive memorising of life science and biology
the mountains of readings for other majors
all you do is read stories
i beg to differ

most ppl do leisure reading
and they say ooh i love this book
because it's so exciting romantic trashy blah
when you read with literary analysis in mind
you have to engage with the text
emotionally mentally spiritually
it's a laborious effort
one has to feel with the heart
if not you can't see what lies beyond the words
i rmbed i once cried in goof's arms
how i feared i chose the wrong major

can't wait for everything to end,
the holidays to start.
i've fallen in love with prettyhooks earrings
i need to get my ears pierced.

great day

spent a great thurs night chatting with ling and wen
we've made it through jc
hanging on and being there for one another
let's do the same for uni (7 years and counting)
working world
and for the rest of our lives yeah
xian, you're included too!

stayed up til 6 am to finish collins' woman in white
only to have the presentation postponed to next thurs.
yay. haha yet, that means i've to do a better job.
not-great midterm scores
but i shan't beat myself up over it
afterall, i did studied.
i have 4 essays due in a month's time
2 presentations.
before you know it it's the exams
then voila christmas.

the whole cycle starts all over again.

nyd's post got me thinking.
So, why are YOU with the person you're with?

well,
i'm with you because... you have great shoulders for leaning on.
lol. kidding kidding
(though that's a definite bonus =P)
cos you have a way of sneaking up on my thoughts all the time dear :)

...

can one tire of too much love?
i fear i might be one of those foolish beings
temperamental and capricious in nature
to treasure what one's forsaken
only too late.

what the hell's with the new posting format.
